Background


Myron Lizer brings over 28 years of retail management experience working for four Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Lizer brings a wealth of knowledge in relational marketing and business development honed as an entrepreneur and accountant. Lizer served on private business boards, private school boards, guided congregations as a bi-vocational pastor, and participated in community concerns, founding Window Rock chapter of U.S. Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees), and growing family business in expansion endeavors with a vision to create more jobs and give opportunity to employees and their growing families.

 

Public Service


Myron excels in the business arena with a pedigree in building relationships and promoting higher levels of professionalism and excellence in working with tribal entities, and in the private sector. Lizer also contributed to the 2012 Navajo Tribal team that promoted partnering with the Nation of Israel in advancing business and economic relationships and developing the understanding that Israel and the Navajo Nation share a lot of the same hardships and opportunities as a First Nations people. Mr. Lizer has contributed to his community by leading Financial Literacy course across the Navajo Reservation and Leading other future business owners in Indianpreneurship—helping other Native Americans write business plans thus qualifying participants for business start-up loans and consideration for grants and capital investors for aspiring entrepreneurs.

 

Qualifications


Before Lizer was President of Navajo Westerners Ace Hardware Stores and Lumber Yards, he was an accountant for the Southern Ute Growth Fund, the money-generating arm of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe in southwestern Colorado. Myron earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO in 2006.
